Importing Data
Importing data into SugarCRM uses the same process with any type of record or module you use. Take a look at the below example when importing multiple Accounts using a .CSV file.
Start by selecting Import Accounts from the Accounts module tab drop-down, this will start an Import wizard to walk you through the steps.s
Step 1 – Upload the Import file
Select the .csv file with the Accounts you would like to import into SugarCRM. Then choose Next
Step 2 – Confirm the import file properties
This screen gives you an overview of the file you selected including the header row and a sample of the data being imported.
Step 3 – Field Mapping
This step will involve matching the fields in the .CSV file with the fields available in the Accounts module.
Step 4 – Check for duplicates
If you would like to check for duplicates when importing into SugarCRM, you can use this option to check for any previously entered information. There is also a section where you can save the mapped fields in the earlier step if you will need to import or update more records using the same mapping. Pressing the Import Now button will start the import process.
Step 5 – View the results
After the import has been completed, the below screen will appear letting you know which records have been created with your import along with if any duplicates have been found or errors.
After the import your new records will be available under the module they were imported in
